Hi I am Cindy Powell and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. My office is in Spring Valley, MN, and I
also provide teletherapy appointments. I received my undergraduate degree from
Winona State University and my graduate degree from the University of Minnesota in
2006.

I have had the privilege of working with lots of different individuals over the years and
this diversity has greatly expanded my lens. I spent over 25 years working with teens
and adults involved in criminal justice, juvenile justice and the child welfare systems.
Many of these individuals often felt invisible, not seen, and not heard. Most also
experienced complex trauma.

Everyone brings with them their own unique experiences. My hope is to value, validate
and celebrate you while helping you heal. I am not interested in judging or putting
people into categories or boxes. I have been trained in many different approaches over
the years and always come back to a trauma informed and strengths based approach.
